HENRY, O.: Tildy's Moment

Tildy and Aileen are waitresses at Bogle's Family Restaurant in New York. Aileen is popular in Bogle's because is tall and beautiful, but Tildy isn't popular, she is short and fat and not beautiful. Aileen always has many boys at her disposition but Tildy no, but one night, a boy that was drunk kissed Tildy and she got some wrong ideas about that, but next day she arrived to the conclusion of that it was just because he was drunk.

I like this story because it's real.

Sister Love

FURR, Mark: Stories for Reading Circles. Bookworms Club BRONZE. Oxford University Press, 2007

ESCOTT, John: Sister Love

The story is about two opposite sisters. They lived with their father. When Marcia ( a sister), has gota boyfriend (Howard), Karin (the second sister) stole her boyfriend, but Marcia didn't know it. When Marcia discovered the Karen's relation, Marcia pushed karen, and she slipped and fell down the wall, and hit in the ground, because in her hands had suntan oil ( and did she die?)

I like the story because when it finishes, Karen fell down. Also I like the story because in the class I read the dialogue of Karen, and it was funny.

THE LITTLE HUNTERS AT THE LAKE

FURR, Mark: Stories for Reading Circles. Bookworms Club BRONZE. Oxford University Press, 2007

Yalvac URAL : The Little Hunters at the Lake

The story is about a group of boys that want to be hunters. Hikmet secretly borrows his father's big hunting gun and he and his friends go down to the lake. They shoot a crane bird which is a symbol of love.
They can't eat the bird so they bury it near the lake.
When it is Spring they go back to the crane's grave and find its partner dead on the grave. Hunters never shoot crane birds.

I like this book because I like birds and my uncle is hunter. He tells me about birds, and their way of life.

The Canterville Ghost

WILDE, Oscar: The Canterville Ghost. Oxford University. Oxford Bookworms, 2. Oxford, 2004 . 841/A1-A2

The story is about a family who moves to a house which is haunted and there is a ghost but this ghost is not scary, so children laugh doing ambushes and giving shocks it.

I liked the book because the story is based on children who disturb ghosts and so children are not afraid of ghosts.

The book is rather childish but to learn English is good because there are many words to learn. I recommend this book to learn more. Although the story is quite simple, from the beginning until the end is very entertaining.
